This is the third time I spot it in the area and I haven't got a clue as to what it might be. Near surface depth and close to 1cm in length.

Found this organism being carried by the waves at near surface depth. Looks like a sea slug but I have never seen one like this before. Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated!

Spotted near the surface, about 500m from shore, in the Saronic gulf. Not larger than 1cm in diameter and appearing compact - holding its shape even when stiring the water around it. Haven't seen anything similar before, so I do not know what I am looking at.. . As always all suggestions are appreciated .

01/01/2022 Création de sujet : Can you identify this bioluminescent planktonic species?

When I accidentaly stired the water and sent it spinning, this organism started to produce bioluminescense. I let the brightness dimm and repeated with the same results. As you can see, it appears to have a long feeding tentacle with a single row of lures. This was probably retracted when it was disturbed.

Spotted a number of these siphonophores In the middle of a planktonic bloom, composed mainly of numerous pelagia noctiluca, pteropods, a limited number of sapphirinas and a few ctenophora.

Spotted near the surface, about 500m from shore, in the Saronic gulf. Haven't seen anything simmilar before, so I do not know if I am looking at a bunch of eggs or a pyrosoma colony. As always all suggestions are appreciated.

Spotted foraging in the shallows of Kalamos beach, Evia island, Greece (Aegean sea). Appears to be a juvenile (disc diameter about 20cm). In this shot it is surrounded by pieces of broken and decaying poseidonia seagrass.

Spotted this solitary individual while snorkelling in Saronida (Attica coastline - Saronic gulf. Size is about 1cm in length. First time I ever encounter this stunning geometry, any suggestions are welcome!

Spotted 3-4 individuals while snorkelling in Saronida (Attica coastline - Saronic gulf. Size is just 1-2 cm in diameter. Since it's the first time I notice this particular species in the area, any suggestions are welcome!

Spotted while snorkelling in Saronida (Attica coastline - Saronic gulf) and shot with Olympus TG4. I fired the flash to illuminate since it was almost completely transparent. Has a tiny isopod hitchhiker. Bell is just 4 or 5 cm in diameter.

Repéré en snorkeling à Saronida (littoral attique - golfe Saronique) et photographié avec Olympus TG4. J'ai déclenché le flash pour éclairer car il était presque complètement transparent. Il y a un petit isopode auto-stoppeur.
La cloche mesure seulement 4 ou 5 cm de diamètre.

Spotted this solitary little larva near a small islet, next to the shore of Saronida (Saronic gulf, Aegean Sea). About 1cm in length and swimming close to the surface. Would really appreciate any suggestions!
