Hello,

I came across several of these very fast-moving shrimps during a night snorkel. Very hard to get a decent photo. Splash zone, on vertical rock faces. The orange colour and blue specks were conspicuous. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

This ribbon-like animal was seen at night, swimming in undulations at the surface. Animal was maybe 40–50cm. Any idea what it could be? Sorry about picture quality – it is a still from a low-res footage. Thanks.

I found these worm snails under a pebble in shallow water (<1m). Quite common. They are 5mm across and hard. Thank you very much for your help!

I found these gelatinous forms under a pebble in shallow water (1m). Are they tunicates? They were 3-5mm across and on the underside of the stone. Expert help much appreciated!

Hi,

I saw this very small anemone under a pebble in shallow water. Could it be a young Aiptaisia mutabilis or another species please? I assume that the purple organism is Cystodytes dellachiajei.

Hi,

I found these two species encrusting the underside of a pebble in very shallow water. The pink one was ca 12cm wide and the white one was ca 6cm. What animal groups are they? I can't see whether they are porifera or bryozoan, or maybe neither. Would be grateful for expert help. Thank you very much.

Hi,

This bivalve was on rocky substrate in the littoral zone. When they are embedded like this I find it hard to identify them from a guide book, where they are presented "clean". Any help is identified, if at all possible.
