This porifera grows on rock in well-lit surroundings at a depth of less than 1m. This specimen was about 10cm wide and usually is not wider than this. It is soft and slightly sticky to the touch. Can anyone identify it please?

Yes indeed it seems to be of unknown origin.
Regarding your question about the status of the ascidian on the DORIS website, I notice the section 'Especes'. I assume it is the moderator who is moving uploaded photos and description to the relevant section. Is this correct?

Bonjour,
DAISIE signale cette espèce comme introduite en Europe ; est-ce bien le cas? WoRMS bien que faisant un lien vers DAISIE ne le mentionne pas. L'espèce est peut-être cryptogène (ou cryptogénique)?
Que la réponse soit affirmative ou non, peut-être pourrait-on indiquer cette possibilité dans la fiche DORIS?
