Hello,

I found this 1cm nudibranch about 1m below the surface on a vertical rock face. I've seen Felimida britoi. Felimida luteorosea and Elysia timida here, but this is a new one to me. Any ideas please? Thank you.

Indeed, thank you for the discussion. I have also consulted another source and author of a book on nudibranchs who has just confirmed that this is Okenia pellucida. Apparently this alien Indopacific species was seen in Libya a year ago. This is the first recorded sighting of it in Malta. The area where I found it does have the bryozoon Amathia vermiculata.

Thank you.

Et même le dessin réticulé sur le manteau contribue à Okenia pellucida. Mais que ficherait-elle à Malte, si loin de chez elle ? Un bateau venant d'Inde ?

Hello,

With this kind of tubercules on the mantle and lamellate rhinophores on their back, why not Okenia pellucida (but it's an Indo-Pacific species !) ?

Hello

It's not easy..
